All your efforts to help your child eat well and maintain a healthy weight will fail if they eat wrong for lunch. School cafeteria do not always provide healthy food. A balanced lunchbox is the answer. Be sure that your child’s nutrients are being met in their lunchbox. Throughout the week divide portions of vegetables, salad, fruit, dairy and starchy foods. If you miss something one day then add it the next. Treats aren’t out but if you give a special treat one day, skip it for the rest of the days of the week.
