It’s best to feed adult dogs twice a day. Puppies, until they are six months old, usually eat three times a day. Avoid feeding adult dogs only once a day or they remain hungry and might raid your garbage bin for scraps, steal from your kitchen, or get irritable and noisy. On the other hand, free-feeding or keeping a constant supply of food available to your pet, is not a good idea either. You are not able to monitor the quantity. Feeding twice a day will help keep your pet’s weight in check. In between, you may give them a healthy snack like a carrot, apple or a cucumber. And don’t forget to make fresh drinking water available 24 hours a day!
