Highly processed foods are loaded with chemicals, synthetic fats, additives, artificial sweeteners, and food colourings. Unfortunately, you can’t keep these foods out of the diets of your children forever. But if you limit exposure while teaching them healthy eating habits, the more likely your children will make better choices when left to their own. Take kids with you when you go grocery shopping. Let them decide which fruits and vegetables they would like to eat. And while we always want to make the healthiest choices for our children’s bodies, a special treat once a week won’t do any damage.
