Kale-Banana Smoothie

Green smoothies are a great way to add green veggies into your diet. Use fruit and green smoothies when children refuse to eat greens. Flaxseeds contain fibre and omega-3 fatty acids that can help you lose weight as part of a nutritious diet and regular exercise plan. This will make a wonderful smoothie for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened oats milk, almond milk or any other nut milk of your choice
  • 2 cups kale, stemmed and leaves chopped
  • 2 bananas
  • Stevia to taste
  • A tablespoon of flaxseed powder

Method

  • In a blender, combine the milk, kale, bananas, stevia, and flaxseed powder. Blend until smooth.
* Tip: If you are allergic to tree nuts, replace the almond milk with plain rice milk. If you don’t think the banana covers the kale well enough, add 1 cup of berries of your choice.
