Enjoy Turmeric-Ginger Tea

Research shows that curcumin, turmeric’s active compound, has strong anti-inflammatory properties. It operates at the molecular level, blocking inflammatory pathways and reducing inflammatory markers in the body. Ginger’s potent anti-inflammatory benefits are primarily driven by bioactive compounds like gingerols and shogaols. These compounds actively suppress inflammatory pathways in the body in a manner similar to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), but without causing damage to the stomach lining. Turmeric-ginger tea promotes the digestion process, regularises bowel movements and reduces bloating. Boil fresh grated ginger and turmeric root in water for 5–10 minutes, then strain. Add a pinch of black pepper, a squeeze of lemon, and honey to taste.
