Delicious avocado-lime-coconut popsicles

These super-easy healthy alternatives to ice-cream make a great treat at any time of the day. Studies suggest that avocados, eaten in reasonable quantity, help improve satiety, enhance weight loss, and reduce belly fat. Research shows that a type of fat called medium-chain triglyceride or MCT present in coconut milk may help promote weight loss. The reason being that MCT boosts heat generation (thermogenesis) to burn more calories. MCT also helps promote satiety making you feel full for longer. Lime juice is rich in flavonoid compounds, which possess potent antioxidant capabilities that stimulate metabolism.   • 2 medium avocados
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp lemon/lime juice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup if you need extra sweetness
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao (optional)


  • Peel avocado and banana and blend with lemon juice and half the almond milk. Add the cacao and maple if using.
  • Then gradually add the rest of the milk until you get the desired consistency.
  • Pour into ice lolly moulds, insert sticks and freeze for at least 3 hours, better overnight.
