A single medium pear provides about six grams of fibre and is made up of about 84% water, which promotes fullness and reduces overall food intake. The fruit is low in calories, high in nutrients like vitamins C and antioxidants, and contains compounds like chlorogenic acid that help burn fat and reduce inflammation. Pears help digestion, which is also important for a healthy weight loss process. A study, published in the journal ‘Food & Function’, has found that eating two medium pears each day for 12 weeks lowered high blood pressure and waist circumference.
