Peppermint Tea

Studies have shown that the scent and flavour of mint leaves are known for suppressing your appetite. Mint helps stimulate digestive enzymes and improve the metabolism of fats, which can support overall weight management. It can help the body use nutrients more efficiently so your weight loss journey gets a bit easier.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 15 fresh peppermint leaves
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 cup ice, optional (if served chilled)
  • 2 lemon slices, optional
  • Fresh lemon juice, optional

Method

  • Bring the water to a boil.
  • Remove from the heat and add the fresh mint leaves. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  • Add honey.
  • Pour the tea into a cup. Garnish with optional lemon slices and/or lemon juice to taste.
