Moringa, also called the ‘miracle tree’, is gaining popularity worldwide. A superfood, its leaves, seeds, and seed pods are all edible and packed with nutrients. Moringa contains several bioactive compounds which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Says a 2002 study in ‘Dakar Medical’, moringa might be helpful in treating acute inflammatory conditions, like rheumatic pain. It is more nutritious than spinach, seven times richer in vitamin C as compared to oranges, four times higher in vitamin A than carrots, and is used to treat acute and chronic inflammation, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders and weakened immunity.
