Olive oil: This is rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids that are a healthy choice. Antioxidants in olive oil are beneficial to bolster your metabolism and keep your weight in check.

Sesame oil: It is a great source of both polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat. That which is cold pressed from untoasted sesame seeds is light in colour and that from toasted sesame seeds is dark coloured. Light sesame oil has a nutty flavour and is good for frying. Sesame oil contains a high smoke point and is the least prone among oils to turn rancid.

Rice bran oil: Rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and free of trans-fats, this oil is known as the heart-friendly oil. It is extracted from hard outer brown layer of rice. It lowers the cholesterol levels, boosts immune system, and aids weight loss. It has high smoke point, which makes it useful for stir frying and deep-frying.
