Quinoa has a high fibre content, which helps weight management. Foods high in fibre help you feel full longer, potentially reducing your overall intake. Cooking quinoa takes about 15 minutes. Don’t lift the lid constantly to check. It will allow the steam to escape, which will cause the quinoa to cook unevenly. When cooked, quinoa should be easy to fluff with the fork. Be careful not to overcook it. If the pan boils dry during cooking, add more water and turn off the heat, then let stand for 7-8 minutes with the lid on. The trapped steam will finish cooking the quinoa.
