Fruit juice isn’t as healthy as most people think, especially the readymade variety that you find in food stores. This juice actually has a lot of sugar in it, along with artificial flavours and colourings. If you are craving a glass of juice, drink fresh fruit juice and, if possible, make it yourself. Skip sugar that adds to the calories. If you’re too used to sweetened juices, try using stevia or then cut down on sugar gradually, steadily, till you no longer need it. Or, then, eat fresh fruit. Fruit provides your body with much needed fibre as well as vitamins. Go easy on mango, pineapple, figs and chikoos. Eating to many of these might add to your calorie intake. Fortunately, we have a very wide variety of fruits available and you can choose different fruits every day.
