A cat’s dietary needs are very different from a dog’s. Cats need wet food because 70% of their water intake comes from wet food. They also need more protein and fat than a dog. Cats need certain vitamins, like retinol and niacin, and certain amino acids, such as taurine, found in animal tissue, daily. They don’t need as many carbs as dogs do so go easy on the carbs while feeding your cat, though occasionally a little white rice is ok. Consult your vet to make your cat’s meal nutritionally complete.
