If you have a finicky cat, try making a fish kibble at home. Canned mackerel would be great because it has an intense flavour that will entice your pet to eat. It is also rich in Omega-3. If you can’t have mackerel, try salmon or sardines. In a large mixing bowl, mix together wheat germ, cornmeal, dry milk, brewer’s yeast, chopped fish jerky, and 3/4th cup of fish flakes. In another bowl, mash the mackerel into small pieces. Mix in a tablespoon of cod liver oil and four tablespoons of vegetable oil along with a cup water. Put the mixture in a blender and blend well. Mix the wet and dry ingredients nicely, flatten out the dough on the cookie sheets, and sprinkle with some dried fish flakes. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove the kibble from the oven and let it cool. Your kitty will love it!
