Research shows that Goji berries may help increase metabolism, improve energy levels, and even reduce body weight gains. In a study published in 2011 in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, researchers looked at the effects of goji berries in healthy overweight adults in two studies. They found that those who had a single dose of 30, 60, or 120 milliliters (about 1, 2, and 4 ounces, respectively) of a goji berry–based juice boosted their metabolic rate after meals by as much as 10%. And the more goji berry juice they had, up to 120 milliliters (1/2 cup), the better the results.
